About the role

Chef de Partie responsible for preparation and production of food to the highest standards across Worcester College kitchens. The role involves leading kitchen sections, mentoring junior chefs, occasionally taking full charge as duty chef, and ensuring excellence in food quality, hygiene, and safety. Delivers high-quality, diverse cuisine for daily meals for students and Fellows as well as prestigious banquets, conferences, and special events.

What you’ll do

  • Preparation and production of food to the highest standards across kitchens
  • Lead sections and mentor junior chefs
  • Occasionally take full charge as the duty chef
  • Ensure excellence in food quality, hygiene, and safety
  • Work across different kitchen sections
  • Maintain commitment to College Environmental Sustainability Policy and Procurement and Purchasing Policy

What they’re looking for

Requires relevant professional qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds 706 1/2, NVQ, or equivalent experience). Must have strong experience working across different kitchen sections, ideally in a busy, high-volume environment. Excellent cooking skills across larder, pastry, sauce, and vegetarian dishes required.
