About the role

The Home Bursar provides strategic and operational leadership across Wolfson College's estate and operational services. As a key member of the senior management team, the postholder is responsible for the management and development of the College's estate, grounds, accommodation, housekeeping and lodge services. The role combines strategic vision with operational leadership, balancing long-term planning with day-to-day management of a complex estate, while playing a central role in ensuring the College provides an outstanding environment for living, working and studying.

What you’ll do

  • Manage and develop the College's estate, grounds, accommodation, housekeeping and lodge services
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across the College's estate and operational services
  • Report to the Bursar and work closely with the President, Fellows, staff and students
  • Balance long-term planning with day-to-day management of a busy and complex estate
  • Build effective relationships across a wide range of stakeholders

Candidates should be experienced and credible leaders with a strong track record of managing estates or operational services within a complex organisation, with sound judgement, strategic insight, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to build effective relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
