About the role

Permanent, full-time front-of-house hospitality role in St Antony’s College’s Stewarding team. The post provides food and drink service for students, Fellows, staff and guests, with duties covering meal and event service, till operation, room setup and clearance, cleaning, and assistance with deliveries and storage. It is a 35-hour role worked across five days out of seven, including evenings and weekends and occasionally six days out of seven.

What you’ll do

  • Serve food and drinks at lunches, formal dinners and other College events.
  • Operate Dining Hall tills when required.
  • Set up and clear dining rooms and meeting rooms.
  • Clear tables, clean food and drink service areas, and keep the Dining Hall tidy.
  • Help with stock deliveries and equipment storage.
  • Work under the guidance of Stewarding Assistants and support colleagues across the department.

What they’re looking for

Previous experience in food and drink service, hospitality or a similar customer-facing role would be an advantage, but is not essential. Requires flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends.

  • Strong commitment to excellent customer service in a front-of-house food and drink environment.
  • Positive and enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Strong team-working skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well with a wide range of people.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Previous food and drink service, hospitality, or similar customer-facing experience is advantageous but not essential.
