About the role
Full-time postdoctoral research fellowships in economics for recently completed or near-completion doctorate holders. Fellows develop independent research agendas within a leading economics department, publish in international journals, present at conferences, teach up to 60 units per annum, and participate in departmental and college intellectual life.
What you’ll do
- Engage in research of quality commensurate with publication in leading international economics journals
- Develop and manage own independent research agenda
- Present research at international conferences and research workshops
- Play a full role in the intellectual life of the Department including working collaboratively with academic colleagues and participating in seminars and workshops
- Provide up to 60 units of teaching per annum (equivalent to 20 hours of lectures or 15 hours of TA-format class teaching)
- Co-operate in the administration of teaching and research
- Examine as required by the appropriate committee
- Participate in the intellectual life of the College by attending and organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences
- Act as a mentor for graduate students where appropriate
- Represent the College's postdoctoral research fellows on one of the College's committees and take on College officerships where appropriate
What they’re looking for
Candidates must have recently completed or be close to completing a PhD in a relevant subject. They must have publications in peer-reviewed journals commensurate with their career level. They should have ability to present research effectively, innovate, work with colleagues, teach graduate students, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
