The Osler Professor of Medicine is a senior clinical academic leadership position within the Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine. What you’ll do
- Provide leadership in teaching, research and practice of clinical medicine within the Nuffield Department
- Strengthen connections between basic science and clinical practice
- Develop internationally leading programmes of patient-based and experimental medicine research
- Work closely with Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to shape the future of academic clinical medicine
- Support delivery of outstanding clinical care
- Lead an internationally competitive research programme
- Secure substantial external funding
- Shape strategic direction of clinical medicine across the Department
- Play a central role in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education
- Inspire and mentor the next generation of academic clinicians
- Expand research capacity by supporting doctoral students and early-career researchers
- Hold an honorary consultant contract with Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
