About the role

The Fellow by Examination (JRF) is expected to engage full-time in research and its dissemination. The successful candidate will propose, plan and manage a high-quality programme of original research; publicise outcomes through presentation of papers and publications; and contribute to the communal life of the College. The Fellow may, with leave of the Governing Body, engage in teaching and would normally prioritize the College's own teaching needs.

What they’re looking for

Candidates must hold or be close to completion of a doctorate. Those who formally submitted their doctoral thesis for viva voce examination before 1 July 2025 are not eligible unless they have had a career break or exceptional circumstances. No applicant appointed to a permanent academic post in an institution of higher education at any time is eligible. Previous applicants are not eligible. Applications welcome from all countries and universities.
